Parmesan Cauliflower Steak (Food is Medicine)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 heads of cauliflower, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and parsley.
  3. Place cauliflower slices in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush each slice with the olive oil mixture on both sides; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. Place into oven and bake until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Serve immediately, sprinkled with Parmesan.

Replace your toxic coffee with dandelion root coffee

Ever thought you would have to give up your morning coffee? How can you talk down on people suffering from addiction when you are battling your very own? This is the question I had to ask myself. What makes one addiction any better than the other?
They all have side effects that target healthy cells causing damage that can not be reversed! People who drink coffee normally have sleep issues. This is the only time the body can repair itself from damage caused that day!
Let’s discuss the cause & effect of drinking too much coffee!
  • Consuming too much caffeine can lead to jitteriness, anxiety, heart palpitations, and even exacerbated panic attacks!
  • Coffee’s laxative effect has been attributed to the release of gastrin, a hormone the stomach produces that speeds up activity in the colon. What’s more, decaffeinated coffee has been shown to produce a similar response
  • Studies have found that higher caffeine intake appears to increase the amount of time it takes to fall asleep. It may also decrease total sleeping time, especially in the elderly
  • Rhabdomyolysis is a very serious condition in which damaged muscle fibers enter the bloodstream, leading to kidney failure and other problems.
  • A detailed review suggests that although caffeine triggers certain brain chemicals similar to the way cocaine and amphetamines do, it does not cause classic addiction the way these drugs do. However, it may lead to psychological or physical dependency, especially at high dosages.
  • Blood pressure increases, which is a risk factor for heart attack and stroke because they may damage arteries over time, restricting the flow of blood to your heart and brain.
  • Coffee, as well as other caffeinated beverages, is known to boost energy levels. However, they can also have the opposite effect by leading to excessive fatigue once the caffeine is out of the system.
  • Causes overactive bladder due to the compound’s stimulatory effects on the urinary system!

As I sit here doing my morning to-do list I’m sipping on my coffee but not your normal Starbucks or Folders. I now have a degree in nutrition & with that comes replacing unhealthy habits with new healthy ones!!
 
I recently started making dandelion coffee. It’s been about 2 months or so give or take I’ve been replacing one bad drink I loved with a nutrient-rich alternative every week.

I remember being at work when I was constantly googling the best way to lose weight when I came across apple cider vinegar. I proceeded to take it daily like a good girl should but soon realized my teeth were changing! I was like “NO” I am way too young so I began to research of course! I only researched it because It Truly Works!!!

My research

What nobody told me: Water measures in as a neutral solution, with a pH of 7.0, therefore the acidity of apple cider vinegar is relatively significant. Unfortunately, when undiluted, the vinegar can weaken tooth enamel and consequently cause sensitivity, decay, and cavities.

Rinsing with concentrated doses of apple cider vinegar will not only damage your teeth but can also cause swelling or burns inside the mouth and esophagus. According to the Centers for Disease Control, other potential risks of long-term use of ACV include:

  • Indigestion
  • Throat irritation
  • Low potassium
  • Disruption of the body’s acid-base balance

How apple cider vinegar should be taken as part of a health booster while fasting to melt away visceral fat & cleanse the bloodstream!

  • Dilute ACV in water: Try mixing 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar with 8 ounces of water.
  • Drink it through a straw to avoid direct contact with your teeth.
  • Rinse with water after taking it.
  • Don’t brush right away! To prevent further enamel damage, wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your teeth to give your saliva a chance to naturally wash away the acid.
  • Take ACV as a supplement in pill form: These contain a dehydrated form of ACV but the amount can vary from brand to brand. According to a Healthline report, one capsule typically contains about 500 mg, which is equivalent to 2 liquid teaspoons (10 ml).

My opinion

I personally think you need to go with what works for you. Start with a small mixture of something like 1 part apple cider vinegar to 4 parts water, if it is too strong for your skin, add more water. If it doesn’t seem strong enough and you aren’t noticing any of the benefits, add more apple cider vinegar.  Below is my mixture and what I have found works for me.

Apple Cider Vinegar Toner Directions:

My personal toner

1) Pour 1 part organic apple cider vinegar into a glass jar, bottle, or container.

2) Add 2 parts distilled or filtered water.

3) Shake the bottle to combine the mixture.

4) Apply the toner to your freshly cleansed skin using a cotton ball or pad, avoiding the eye area.

5) Apply your usual, daily moisturizer after the apple cider vinegar toner has dried.

6) Shake well before each use.  Store in a cool, dry, dark place (No need to refrigerate). I make a new batch monthly.

The results will blow your mind!! I also soak in this stuff once a week to purge toxins trapped in my skin causing itchiness & irritation! I personally like to make sure my baby-making lady parts are so fresh & so clean as well!

  1. Fill a tub with warm (not hot) water.
  2. Add 2 cups of raw apple cider vinegar.
  3. Stir the water.
  4. Soak for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Turn on the shower and rinse without soap

Fasting to Improve Life Situations

I am going back to school to be a health consultant and excitement is an understatement.

My Story

As a nurse, I never felt I was helping people by giving them medications made in labs that damage healthy cells and kill brain cells. I have been in the courtroom testifying for a doctor’s malpractice, I have been given verbal orders that hurt people, I have lost sleep night after night! That all changed when I developed a brain tumor was given six months to live and just tossed out by the company I had given 12 years to as a nurse.

Never allow the hurt from your past to pave the way for your future journeys.

I truly believe in people being put in our lives for a purpose whether good or bad. Despite my past, I have been to school and obtained certification for a nurse aid, then one for a medical assistant, then my nursing license, formulation diploma, blogging diploma, and nutrition diploma. As a health consultant, I will finally be able to prescribe herbal remedies, essential oils, and natural cures in general which will build the body up instead of tearing it down.

Whatever you want to do in life go for it you live once in a lifetime literally!!! Release the stronghold of the demonic energy keeping you in the same situation you have been trying to get out of.

  • Write down goals, do a daily gratitude entry in a journal, make a list of your wants vs your needs, eat healthy meals, drink lots of water, and most importantly allow your body to heal by fasting!

  • Try to learn something you’ve always wanted to such as a new language. Create a sanctuary somewhere in your home you can escape the stress of everyday life just for a few moments. As a child, I thought time out was a punishment but now that I am grown I crave it daily.

Mental health is your body, your mind, and your spirit telling you that change is necessary for a healthy life. No more ignoring toxic situations or adapting to them.

Remember who you are and what your blessings are “spiritual gifts” we all have them we have just been conditioned to forget about them.

Natural Order of Things

You cant take a tiger out of the wild and expect him to adapt to our world and the same goes for you & me. If you are a city person you should not be in the country. If you like to party your partner shouldn’t be a homebody, if you are a workaholic your significant other should not be living off the system, etc.

Fasting & My Spiritual Awakening

Get back to what makes you want to wake up in the morning grateful, thankful, and feeling blessed. Mine was my spiritual awakening that happened after a 21 day fast back in 2018 to cure cancer. Today I am no longer the person I was. My body replaced all the damaged and lost brain cells with brand new ones! Only fasting can do this!

I was born again on that day & given a new purpose in life. My journey strengthened me as well as humbled me which elevated me naturally!

Many doctors don’t acknowledge it as a problem but fasting is the cure!!

Ever been to a doctor and explained to them your symptoms only to be given a new prescription? The feeling of defeat comes in when you feel like nobody is listening or really trying to get to the underlying problem, meanwhile you’re the one suffering.

I know all too well the feeling and as a nurse, I have counseled many patients who felt the same. Our doctors are overworked so if anybody is going to have to work harder for your fight it’s going to have to be you.

Adrenal fatigue & stress

Adrenal fatigue is something doctors brush off. Our bodies were made to handle little amounts of stress on a daily basis. Our thyroid is now shutting down because it’s completely overworked from chronic stress. This means like a good partner the adrenal glands have to take over and they are not supposed to handle little stress but be ready to release adrenalin if a lion comes out of the forest to chase you!

Today we see a bunch of overworked people not even realizing stress being the silent killer is slowly taking a toll on the inside of the body. Nothing is working the way it’s supposed to because so many overworked organs are trying to handle chronic stress with no breaks in between.

Adrenal fatigue has several symptoms you should watch out for:

Low Energy

Cortisol is one of the essential hormones produced by the adrenal glands; it plays several important roles, including converting sugar and fat into energy. If the adrenal gland produces an insufficient amount of cortisol, fatigue will be the result.

Anxiety

Cortisol is also a key player in how the body reacts to stress. When cortisol levels drop, the body may have an increased stress response, leading to panic and anxiety attacks more than we would like to admit to ourselves at times.

 Frequent Illness

Hormones produced by the adrenal glands also help regulate the immune system. When too few of these hormones are produced, the immune system does not function as it should, especially if the person is also experiencing exhaustion and anxiety. Since the body is unable to protect itself efficiently, it is not only more susceptible to illness and infections, but it gets harder to heal, as well.

Difficulty Falling Asleep

Difficulty falling asleep is a symptom of adrenal fatigue with a clear tie to some of the others we already mentioned. If you have a hard time falling asleep, it stands to reason that you may wake up with exhaustion and low energy. Cortisol is involved in regulating the sleep/wake cycle, and a hormonal imbalance can alter the natural rhythms of the body, leading to insomnia and interrupted sleep patterns night after night.

Frequent Urination

Another hormone released by the adrenal glands is aldosterone, which signals the kidneys to regulate sodium and potassium. Those experiencing adrenal fatigue may deal with frequent urination, which, at best, is inconvenient and, at worst, can significantly harm the body if not addressed.

Adrenal Insufficiency

Adrenal insufficiency and adrenal fatigue are not the same. True adrenal insufficiency is rare and considered an official medical diagnosis. If the problem lies in the adrenal glands themselves, a doctor will diagnose Addison’s disease, but adrenal insufficiency can also stem from diseases in the hypothalamus or pituitary gland, which signal the adrenal glands to produce and release necessary hormones. Proponents of adrenal fatigue as a diagnosis believe that the hormonal insufficiencies it causes are not quite as severe as with true adrenal insufficiency but cause significant symptoms nonetheless.

No worries with the right knowledge and proper nutrition we can beat this. I did a three-day fast to reboot my body to factory settings, then a 21 day fast to cure cancer and I felt amazing!!! Prior to this, I ate adrenal stimulating foods for a week.
