Fasting, the fix-it-all solution
You wake up in the morning and you feel rushed. Rushed to get the kids ready for school, rushed to clock into your job on time. Rushed for personal self-care. Exactly when do you find time for yourself? When do you have time to really sit down and think about what you want in life? What exactly makes you happy and how you can achieve any goal you have ever set for yourself? Fasting allows you to give up wants, desires, needs, envy, jealousy, hate, and so much more by helping you resist temptation. When one can fast, they can pretty much do anything they put their mind to. Fasting is a form of discipline to your body. Fasting allows your body to take a much-needed break of digestion, pain relief, producing enzymes, and so much more. Fasting is a vacation that only you can give to your body and for many, it is long overdue. You try meds, you get hypnotized, you lose weight, go to counseling weekly and your still not yourself. What are you missing?
Life is to short to be unhappy.
When you live your life for everyone except you, you end up being depressed, having anxiety, mood disorders, and so much more. I can go on for days but for now, I included a list of some symptoms that may mean you need to fast and reboot your body back to factory settings.

What happened to us?
Are you familiar with your adrenal glands? You should, they are responsible for handling stress but not the kind you are subjecting it to! You can find these small glands on top of each kidney. Your adrenal glands produce hormones you can not live without. One of these hormones is called cortisol. Cortisol helps you to be able to handle very stressful situations.
The issue is the stressful situations are supposed to only be the fight or flight type. An example would be a guy in the jungle who spots a lion. The thyroid and stress.
The thyroid releases hormones that control your metabolism, breathing, heart rate, menstrual cycles, body temp., and so much more! Do you see now how important it is to keep it functioning at its very best? At times your thyroid becomes overly stressed due to environmental factors, medications, a bad diet, lack of exercise, etc. This results in the dysfunction of the thyroid and you will certainly feel its wrath. When the thyroid has had enough abuse it has no choice but to shut down and allow your already overly worked adrenal glands to take over. Think about this, one day you show up at work extremely tired, not feeling well, and you are very irritable. Your boss walks up to you and informs your coworker did not show up so you will need to do both of your jobs, how would you feel? The adrenal glands are working overtime to try to help you but it just was not built for the responsibility your placing on it. This is where fasting comes in, sounds to me like you need a reboot, intermittent fast, then a complete fast!
What exactly do you mean by fast?
I’m talking about giving up food my friend and choosing life. First, you will start with an intermittent fast to prepare your body for a complete fast. Calm down, just three days is all I am asking for with a complete fast. You may need to do it a couple of times before you are successful but that is ok, it is not easy. All I am trying to help you to do is give your body 72 hours of complete rest. Food is for nutrition yet as Americans, we tend to overeat compared to other countries which causes the body to become overly stressed out. Not only stressed but extremely toxic and inflamed. Just because your mouth opens does not mean something should be in it constantly. Just because the colon is five feet long does not mean you stuff yourself until it is completely full!

I say three days because sugar is a drug, caffeine is a drug, and the crap they are putting in our food is poison. Your body will go through withdrawals so you have to be strong! The entire process is mind over matter. How bad do you want to improve your mental and physical health? I have created a day by day, step by step process that will help you get by. If at first you don’t succeed go to bed & try again. Depending on your eating habits your body has become used to being stuffed, your brain no longer sends signals of being full the way it was intended to which is why it is so important to fast. Sugar is a drug, unfortunately the addiction is like a street drug the way it plays on the brain. You are not only going to lose weight, kick your metabolism into overdrive, increase your energy, and so much more but most importantly you’re going to feel like your true self again.
Don’t believe the hype my peeps, you will not die if you go without food for a short period of time.
Yes, we do need to eat for energy but just because you stop eating for a number of days does not mean death will find you. I am living proof! Depending on your size you can fast for quite some time without feeling horrible. When I originally started my fast, I was 177lbs. After the 21 days, I was 136lb, I had enough fat for my body to survive off of. Scientists and health professionals alike say three days is a safe amount of time to fast but always talk to your doctor before doing anything such as fasting. My personal experience with fasting since I do it so often is my body always tells me when it’s time to break my fast. After the first three days which are your detox days, you will no longer feel hungry. Your body will have gotten the memo to go into your reserves to pull out what it needs to function. I was trying to cure cancer when I fasted for 21 days, which I don’t recommend. Everybody is different so what worked for me, may kill you. For the sake of health, I only recommend at this time doing the three-day detox to reboot. Then after that continue intermittently until you reach your desired weight or your feeling better.
We force-feed ourselves without even realizing it & the advertisements to make money on so-called “healthy foods” makes learning to read labels a necessity.
When you are constantly eating three meals a day plus snacks, your body won’t even think about getting rid of excess fat. Many of the so-called healthy foods we thing we are eating contain hidden harmful ingredients. The human body was built for survival many years ago but just because our environment has changed over the years, our bodies have remained the same. Back in the day, before we had food within our reach at all times, we had to hunt and pick our food. We ate nuts, berries, fish, and other food we could harvest from trees or plants. We didn’t even have milk until scientists started mating different animals to produce hybrid animals. Fast forward to today, we have a fast-food restaurant on every corner and 6 in between that. You turn on the tv and all you see are food advertisements. The American Red Cross is partnered with red meat producing farmers and the American cancer society approves of dairy. Red meat is clogging our arteries leading to heart disease and dairy especially milk has been known to contain cancer-causing antigens. The focus from health is gone and the focus on wealth is increasing.
